Nick Cannon was approached by Child Protective Services, soon after the birth of his twins, over rumours that his wife MARAH CAREY was taking alcohol and prescription drugs, in the delivery room, before breast feeding their babies Moroccan and Monroe.
When asked by Access Hollywood for further information, Nick Cannon stated: 'It was a bunch of stuff. It was [drinking Guinness] and they tried to say it was like medical drugs and stuff. I was like how would that even happen in the hospital? Like, that doesn't even make sense, and it didn't make sense to the Child Protective Service people either. But I guess you can't play around with them. You call them and they have to come out'. Speaking further on Piers Morgan's CNN show, he stated: '"It all started where a nurse suggested to my wife that if you drink Guinness or a small amount of Guinness, the dark beer, that the yeast improves breastfeeding. Then they were saying that my wife was drinking beer and all that stuff.' However, Cannon has now declared that it was all a misunderstanding and that 'after the whole thing was over though, they kind of came and apologized'.
The couple are currently preparing to take the twins home shortly. 'Sunday (15 May 2011) or Monday at the latest.' Nick said. 'They'll be home soon.' Nick Cannon is set to release his third studio album 'Mr Showbiz Sings the Hits' later this year.
