Nick Cave was so appalled when GAP approached him about starring in one of their TV advertisements, he fired off a letter to the clothing store expressing his distaste.

The rocker refused to follow in the footsteps of Madonna, Missy Elliott and Willie Nelson and star in a Gap commercial, and certainly didn't want to be seen wearing any of the shop's clothes.

Cave wrote: "Dear Gap, I might put on a pair of your jeans if you were to pay me $1 billion, but even then I would have serious reservations."
