The actress personally experienced the horror of the potentially fatal illness during her teenage years when she supported her mother JANELLE through her battle with breast cancer.
And she insists the disease can be beaten if more women are educated about cancer and how to detect it.
She says, "I think it's important that breast cancer is demystified and we all tell our friends to get their mammograms. And that even if you do get breast cancer, it's not necessarily a death sentence."
She wishes Minogue a speedy recovery out of the public eye saying, "I just hope they leave her alone and allow her to recover from this in the way she's meant to."
