Actress Nikki Reed is urging fans to help her stamp out child sex slavery by donating to her fundraiser to provide shelter for victims of human trafficking.

The Twilight star has teamed up with Unlikely Heroes, a charity which boasts Reed's vampire movie co-star Kellan Lutz as a spokesman, to raise funds for a planned safe house facility in the Philippines.

Reed hopes to raise $2,740 (£1,767) for the foundation, which aims to help rescue and rehabilitate child victims of sex slavery worldwide.

In a post on her Twitter.com page she posts a link to her donation site and writes, "Sex & money & children are words that should Never be together in a sentence. Help me & (Unlikely Heroes) end child sex slavery."
