Noel Gallagher has taken aim at his brother Liam and his new group Beady Eye for performing Oasis classic Wonderwall at the Olympics Closing Ceremony on Sunday (12Aug12), branding them a "tribute band".
Beady Eye were a surprise addition to the show, which marked the end of the 2012 London Games, and the band stunned fans by showcasing Wonderwall, penned by Noel, at the Olympic Stadium in Stratford.
And the songwriter poked fun at his brother Liam's song choice during his own gig in the U.K. capital on Tuesday night (14Aug12).
Noel sang Wonderwall at the show and dedicated it to "Stratford's finest Oasis tribute band", according to NME.com.
