Adele's second album '21' has beat Michael Jackson's 'Thriller' to Number 5 on the UK list of the biggest selling albums of all time, UK sales reaching 4,274,300 - that's 500 more than Jackson's definitive 6th album.

The 23-year-old has yet to beat Oasis' 'What's the Story Morning Glory?' at number 4, Abba's 'Gold' at number three, The Beatles' 'Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band' at number 2 and, of course, Queen's 'Greatest Hits' which is still topping the charts with record sales of 5.83 million. However, she is selling on average 20,000 albums a week in the UK so anything's possible!

The singer is also yet to beat Jacko in international supremacy - 'Thriller' still topping the world's all-time best selling albums selling more than 100 million copies worldwide.

Adele revealed that she may have a new song out by the end of the year, but a third album is out of the question for at least another two years. She told French radio station NRJ, "I have to take time and live a little bit. There were a good two years between my first and second albums, so it'll be the same this time."
