Liam Gallagher has vowed never to play Glastonbury again.

The Beady Eye frontman - whose former band Oasis performed at the famous festival three times, including headline slots in 1995 and 2004 - insists the annual event is a ''nightmare'' and he won't ever return to the stage at Worthy Farm in Somerset.

He vowed: ''Never, ever doing that thing ever again because it's a nightmare.''

Beady Eye will perform at the Virgin Media V Festival in August and their slot will clash with Beyonce's main stage headline performance - something Liam admits will be distracting.

He told XFM's Danielle Perry: ''I'm getting a telescope and whenever I'm halfway through whatever song it is, I'll be checking out Beyonce's ass on whatever stage she's on.

''She's playing at the same time, I think. Right? Once you've seen Bey's ass, man, you don't need to be looking at any indie kid's ass.''

Liam has previously blasted Glastonbury over sound issues on the festival site and the high number of celebrities at the event.

He said two years ago: ''The sound is s**t and really quiet. And now it's like Bond Street with mud, with loads of celebrities walking around in their boots and umbrellas. I'm not having it.''
