British rockers Oasis have denied they are on the verge of splitting up - insisting they plan to carry on recording and touring.
The future of the Wonderwall hitmakers has been the subject of growing speculation in recent months after a series of rows between frontman Liam Gallagher and his guitarist brother Noel.
They axed a headline set at the U.K.'s V Festival on Sunday (23Aug09) after Liam was diagnosed with a throat virus - but the cancellation sparked rumours the rockers were preparing to announce their break-up.
Now they have hit back, insisting they will take a vacation when their current series of live shows ends before planning a new album and tour.
In a statement on the band's official website, a spokesman writes: "V Festival was always scheduled as the last U.K. gig for this Dig Out Your Soul World Tour. Oasis will complete the rest of the world tour in Europe and then take some well-earned time off before they begin to think about the next album and tour."
