Odd Future rapper Left Brain is facing assault charges after allegedly striking a female photographer at a festival appearance last month (Oct11).
Amy Harris claims her camera was knocked out of her hands when she was slapped by the star, real name Vyron Turner, during the group's performance at the Voodoo Experience in New Orleans, Louisiana on 30 October (11).
And now Harris has decided to take legal action after the hip-hop collective threatened her credibility by denying the altercation.
Releasing a statement on her official website, she writes, "After he so publicly attacked me, I truly believed that an apology would be immediately forthcoming, which is why I declined to press charges at that time.
"The unexpected turn of events, including an attack by Odd Future on my credibility and motives for discussing the incident, have caused me to re-evaluate my initial decision. I’ve contacted an attorney... and am pursuing my options.
"At a minimum, I am seeking a public apology from Vyron Turner. Ultimately, I want a resolution in which Turner is held accountable for his actions."
Turner faces a misdemeanour battery charge, which carries a $1,000 (£625) fine and a maximum six-month prison sentence if convicted.
