Rockers Ok Go have quit record company EMI to form their own label.
The band will re-release its latest album, Of the Blue Colour of the Sky, which first hit shelves in January (10), under their new independent imprint, Paracadute Recordings, in April (10), following the split from EMI.
They will now handle all promotion and distribution of future projects.
A statement from OK Go reads, "We have to part ways with the record label we've been with for the last decade, EMI. We're leaving it very amicably, and they've been very good to us. Onward and upward."
The group, famed for their homemade music videos, became embroiled in a dispute with their record label earlier this year (10) after bosses banned fans from posting a clip for their single This Too Shall Pass on random websites.
