Director Oliver Stone is claiming the credit for pairing up real-life lovers Shia LaBeouf and Carey Mulligan on the set of his new movie WALL STREET 2.
LaBeouf leads the cast in Stone's upcoming sequel and Mulligan plays the daughter of Michael Douglas' Gordon Gekko character.
The pair grew close during their time on set together, prompting rumours they're dating in real life too, and, at a press conference to promote the movie, Stone confirms the actors "ended up as a couple".
And he hinted he played cupid for them both, adding, "I seem to be a good casting director".
