Olivia Palermo tries to dress ''cooler'' in London.

The 28-year-old socialite has admitted she swaps her ''polished'' New York wardrobe for a more relaxed look whenever she arrives in the English capital.

She explained: ''London is my second home. I feel like each city has its own aesthetic and I'm definitely more polished in New York. In London, I might have a tailored blazer, but I also want to feel a little cooler, so I'll wear it with sneakers. Like, mess the hair up a little bit.''

Olivia - who recently unveiled her capsule collection for the luxury Italian footwear label Aquazzura - inists she's still a big fan of high-street stores.

She told Hello! Fashion Monthly: ''I always go to Topshop. Love Reiss and Whistles too.''

The brunette beauty - who married her German model beau, Johannes Huebl, in June also revealed she won't be changing her surname to match her new husband's because she's so fond of her birth name.

She explained: ''I love Palermo and Johannes understands that. I can be Mrs Huebl at home. I think the key to any relationship is really understanding and respecting each other. It helps that we work in the same industry as we can bounce ideas off each other and we get to work together a lot. And Johannes is always romantic.''
