British pop star Olly Murs was left red-faced at a gig in London on Saturday night (24Nov12) after he dropped a cake handed to him in celebration of his latest number one single.

The Heart Skips a Beat hitmaker shot straight to the top of the U.K. chart with his latest song Troublemaker over the weekend (24-25Nov12), beating reformed Girls Aloud's comeback track Something New.

He took to the stage to perform his new song at London's G-A-Y nightclub, and was handed a cake in the shape of a number one by the venue's bosses to celebrate his fourth top-selling track.

But an overexcited Murs accidentally dropped the cake, and it splattered across the floor in front of fans.

Murs refused to waste the tasty treat and had a bite of the dessert before feeding it to revellers in front of the stage.
