Tv mogul and actress Oprah Winfrey has raised $600,000 (£400,000) for charity after holding a yard sale in California.
Lee Daniels' The Butler star sold various pieces from her homes in Hawaii, Indiana and California on Saturday (02Nov13), including a set of six 18th century Louis Xvi armchairs with hand-embroidered details, which went for $60,000 (£40,000), and an enlarged print of a Tv Guide magazine photo of Winfrey, which fetched $3,000 (£2,000).
The funds will benefit Winfrey's Leadership Academy for Girls in South Africa.
