Rapper/actor ANDRE '3000' Benjamin hates wearing unflattering costumes for movie parts because he feels they compromise the fashion icon image he has built for himself.
The Outkast musician had to force himself to get into character for his role as DABU in Be Cool, because the part called on him to dress in way that contradicts his taste - but Benjamin has realised he has to accept dressing down if he is to be a successful screen star.
He tells British magazine Empire, "On Be Cool I hated going to work everyday and putting on those clothes.
"I have to watch it because sometimes when I'm getting dressed for a movie I'm like, 'Oh, that's not good.'
"Honestly, I have to take a step back because I love my clothes and I'd probably end up making every character look cool."
