A Representative For Black Sabbath Has Dismissed Reports The Veteran Rockers Are Set To Bow Out Of Touring With A Farewell Show In Japan Later This Year (15).
Sharon Osbourne, who is married to frontman Ozzy Osbourne, sparked speculation the band is on the verge of a split last month (Mar15) when she released a video message declaring the stars will play a final gig at the Ozzfest event near Tokyo on 22 November (15).
In the video, which was posted online, Sharon said, "This will be Black Sabbath's farewell."
However, a representative for the band has now insisted Black Sabbath will not be playing at the music event, revealing Ozzfest will actually feature a solo set from Ozzy.
The statement reads, "Despite previous reports, Black Sabbath will not appear on this year's Ozzfest Japan, the show will instead feature the festival's namesake, Ozzy Osbourne (and friends)."
