Rock veteran Ozzy Osbourne has adopted a new vegan diet in a bid to get healthy.
The 62-year-old star was inspired to change his lifestyle last week (ends 21Oct11) after watching the documentary Forks Over Knives, which publicises the benefits of veganism.
In an interview on his wife Sharon's U.S. daytime show The Talk on Tuesday (25Oct11), he said, "My assistant showed me a video called Forks and Knives (sic) or something, about (cutting out) meat and dairy products, so I thought, 'I'll give this a shot!'"
Osbourne is convinced turning his back on animal products is already giving him a new lease of life and will help him make better food choices when he's on tour.
He adds, "I feel OK actually, I feel better about myself, you know? I go on binges... That's the reason why I decided to cut out meat out and dairy because I've limited what I can have because when you're on the road and you're travelling, you grab buns and... burgers are everywhere... so now I've just narrowed the margin.
"I'm not saying I'm gonna do it forever; I might go back - when my wife learns to cook, so that'll be never!"
