Ozzy's Tremor Under Control
Wildman rocker Ozzy Osbourne has managed to control the tremors which caused a major health scare and the cancellation of his European tour last week (ends17OCT03).
A visit to DR ALLAN H ROPPER - who also treated Michael J Fox for Parkinson's Disease - in Boston, America has already seen the reality TV star's condition improve remarkably.
Ozzy, 54, says, "It turns out that it's a hereditary thing that I have from my mother's side of the family.
"This guy in Boston fixed me great. He's taken me off all the medication that I was on. I'm taking one medication now for this tremor. And now I haven't got the tremor."
However, a temporary side-effect of his medication is a "terrible dry mouth", which has led to the cancellation of Ozzy's European tour.
But the singer is delighted his decades-old problem is finally on the mend.
He says, "I'm being selfish here. I can't tell you how wonderful I feel. Not wonderful in the respect of being stoned. I'm not stoned.
"But with just a pill, it was like somebody turned the bad switch off. I feel good again."19/10/2003 10:46
