Alien Ant Farm are set to make a highly anticipated return with their second album, ‘truANT’, the follow up to 2001’s million selling ‘ANThology’. Following the tragic bus crash at the end of last year’s European tour, the band took to the studio at the earliest opportunity. Joining Dryden (vocals), Terry (guitar), Tye (bass) and Mike (drums) were Dean and Robert DeLeo, otherwise known as the guitar and bass half of Stone Temple Pilots, who watched over the production duties on ‘truANT’. ‘These Days’, along with ‘Rubber Mallet’, and ‘1000 Days’ are good old fashioned crunching rock tracks, while first single ‘Glow’ is sure to be an instant sing-along anthem. It’s due for release in October, while ‘These Days’ will go to radio around the album release date. The band have already played several shows in the US with more to come in August. These will be followed by three confirmed UK dates. The first will be at London’s Mean Fiddler on Tuesday August 19th (tickets 10) with appearances at the Reading Festival (Fri 22nd Aug) and Leeds Festival (Sat 23rd Aug) shortly after. The band are understandably feeling apprehensive about the upcoming touring schedule, and speaking on the subject Dryden states: "It does seem pretty scary at times. I know it's really unlikely anything will happen. Lightning doesn't strike in the same place twice, but you never know." ‘ANThology’, Alien Ant Farm’s debut album proved a huge hit on both sides of the Atlantic. In the US it sold over 1.8million copies while in the UK it reached the 250,000 mark, helped along the way by the huge hit singles ‘Smooth Criminal’ and ‘Movies’.
