BLOOD
The New Single, 11 th July 2005

Editors release a new single on 11 th July. “Blood” is taken from their debut album, “The Back Room”, due for release on 25 th July and comes with new tracks across the formats including ”Let Your Good Heart Lead You Home”. The track was produced by Guy Garvey and Craig Potter of Elbow at their Blueprint Studios in Manchester after they had expressed an interest in working with the band on hearing their “ Munich” single. The results were so good that there is talk of further collaborations in the future. Whether the late night breakdancing session that ended the session will also be repeated is more open to question.

Editors have been one of the names of 2005. With debut single, “Bullets”, in January, the four saw the single sell out within two days of release and the UK tour, their first, repeated the trick, selling out across the UK. “ Munich” followed in April and gave the band their first Top 20 with another sold out UK tour and a place on MTV’s Spanking New Music Week show in Manchester. The band are confirmed for the Glastonbury, T In The Park and Reading and Leeds Festivals in addition to their first European festival shows and selected headline shows in the UK.

“Blood” will be released by Kitchenware Records on July 11 th.

The debut album, “The Back Room”, will be available from July 25 th.
