Here Comes A Close Up EP & tour

The Glitterati release their second single Here Comes A Close Up through Infectious / Atlantic Records on April 26th 2004. A blistering slice of scuzzy rock ‘n’ roll, it follows their critically acclaimed debut Do You Love Yourself which was released on Poptones in October 2003. The three track EP, recorded with producer Michael Patterson (Beck, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club), also features Gimme What’s Yours and You Need You.

Formed just over 18 months ago and raised on a diet of classic rock ‘n’ roll from the New York Dolls to Guns ‘n’ Roses via The Stooges, the 5 members quit their Leeds hometown in early 2003 decamping to a squalid flat in deepest darkest south London. Surviving on scrambled eggs and white cider they soon began to amass an armoury of incendiary tracks. It wasn’t long before the press pricked up their ears courtesy of some startling live shows in the summer of 2003.

Signing to Infectious / Atlantic in late 2003 the band began the process of writing and recording their debut album which is set for release in late summer 2004. The band have also announced a number of dates including a stint supporting legendary rockers The Wildhearts. The dates are as follows:
