Hard-Fi are the product of their suburban West London environment; the sound of twenty-something gun-slingers on the minimum wage. It's the sound of a band weaned on the heady concrete glamour of The Clash, The Specials, Curtis Mayfield, and Happy Mondays. In love and in debt - the raw materials required to soundtrack a life of box-fresh Adidas, Berwick Street vinyl, and the black economy.

New single ‘Tied Up Too Tight’ is set to follow the success of Hard-Fi’s debut single ‘Cash Machine’ – a track which picked up single of the week accolades from the likes of NME, Time Out and Radio 1’s Zane Lowe while receiving great support from the likes of XFM and Radio 1’s Jo Whiley. Produced by the band themselves in

their own ‘Cherry Lips’ recording studio (a former 24 hour cab office situated on a Staines industrial estate), ‘Tied Up Too Tight’ is all about the desire to escape the mundanity of hometown boredom – simply to get the fuck out – and has already been tagged “the hottest record in the world” by Zane Lowe.

Tied Up Too Tight comes backed with two tracks that showcase the wide spectrum of Hard-Fi influences. The politically motivated, call and response swagger of ‘Middle Eastern Holiday’ is taken from Hard-Fi’s self financed and ultra-rare mini album “Stars Of CCTV” (now going for over 50 quid on Ebay) while their cover of the White Stipe’s ‘Seven Nation Army’ sees Hard-Fi transforming Jack’n’Meg’s blues stomper into a thuggish, attitude-drenched skank.
