Lock Down Project Release debut single - Everybody In The Morning on 17th February

The Lock Down Project hail from Midhurst, Portsmouth via Bath and have already been causing quite a stir across the South west region. James and Ben (main writers) share a particular love of heavy rock music from a number of years ago and although the LDP sound is more of a skal/hip-hop kind of affair through their teens the guys main musical intake was the likes of Metallica and Pantera etc. they believe small elements of this "heavy whether "still comes through in the music today.

LDP are about to hit the music scene with their debut single 'Everybody In The Morning' the track combines Latino guitar, White Boy rap & Hip Hop grooves with a pop pulse that will have you whistling the hooks in the shower many weeks later. The typical UK Garage sound that is associated with acts such as Blazin Squad/Mo Fire Crew etc. is not the "be-all-and-end-all" when it comes to LDP. The songwriting shows quality and LDP do seem to have the ability to write dinky but striking melodies that can transcend the beat & rap framework of your average 2 bit Garage track. Think "The Streets" meets The Kray Twins meets Galliano???

"Everybody in the morning" proves to be a catchy summer sing-along even if the chorus does contain more than it's fare share of La la, la's.

LDP is a name we will be hearing more of in 2003.
