Muse - Stockholm Syndrome Single Review

Muse will break a year’s silence on July 14th with the online release of their first new music of 2003.

The storming ‘Stockholm Syndrome’ will only be available as a download and will be accompanied by an exclusive, band-produced video for the track.

‘Stockholm Syndrome’ will be available for a limited period on Muse’s website.

The past Muse albums have had a very strong support from their huge fan base and most Muse fans are also very loyal but I can see this single reaching out to many more people, we still have all the eccentricity expected from the rock band who has a classically trained opera singer on lead vocals but on a whole this song has a whole lot more energy than any previous Muse release.

Muse - Stockholm Syndrome Single Review
‘Stockholm Syndrome’ is taken from the band’s third studio album, due for release in September 2003. The long player, as yet untitled, was recorded in the UK and Ireland and mixed in LA. The band has worked with producer Rich Costey (Rage Against The Machine, Cave In, Audioslave, Fiona Apple) on this record. Muse have so far released two studio albums – ‘Showbiz’ in 1999, ‘Origin Of Symmetry’ in 2001 – and a b-sides/live set entitled ‘Hullabaloo’ in 2002. They have sold approaching 2 million records worldwide.
