Roll Deep
Second single
“SHAKE A LEG”
Release Date: 10 th October 2005

East London Eski boys Roll Deep shook up the grime scene when they released their debut album “In At The Deep End” in June followed by their debut single “The Avenue” in July. Crossing them over and firmly establishing their place in the main stream whilst still upholding their street roots, with album sales at 50k and counting and with “The Avenue” still pumping its way across the airwaves, Roll Deep unleash their second single “Shake A Leg” on 10 th October.

“Shake A Leg” conjures up visions of girls salsa-ing down Brick Lane with fruit draped around their neck, alongside your old Jamaican uncle skankin' with a Brandy in hand, whilst Roll Deep conduct one big summer street party. Mexicalypso grime meets salsa hip hop, this is not grime by numbers and that’s exactly why Roll Deep are at the very top of the Grime league right now and are out selling and out charting all their competitors.

“Shake A Leg” will be a double AA side single with “Heat Up”, the highly innovative Egyptian tinged, snake charmer pipe influenced grimy track, with a play on lyrics from a well know nursery rhyme. Together the 2 tracks show the diversity and depth of the album that the London collective have made.

Roll Deep have recently toured with Snoop Dogg in the UK and are about to do a string of live dates in the US, where the grime scene is taking off in a big way. They are also in high demand for remixing and have recently remixed for the likes of Mia, Jermaine Dupri and Floetry.

“Shake A Leg” is a summer anthem waiting to happen so get those skankin' shoes ready!
