The Simple Club' residency will take place at the 12 Bar Club , Denmark Place, London WC2 between 20 th -22 nd January . Each themed night will feature a completely different show whereby The Kid's songs will be played in an alternative fashion at each. SIMPLE KID will choose lucky-dip style from the following five themes on each of the three nights; Skiffle KidThe Kid goes deep (South) with Deliverance' style duelling banjoes and violin. Yee-bloody-haw! Sample KidA night of technological tomfoolery with SIMPLE KID , armed with his trusty laptop. Simple Kid-BrotherFollowing their autumn 2003 series of Irish dates, big brother Al joins his younger sibling for a night of onstage semi-acoustic McFeely hi-jinks. Complicated KidMarvel as SIMPLE KID demonstrates his mastery of a different musical instrument on each song in this solo-set. Karaoke KidSIMPLE KID invites the fans to grab their 15mins and perform karaoke versions of his golden greats whilst he relaxes amongst the audience nice work if you can get it Doors 7:30pm each night. Special guest for each show will be Iain Archer. Tickets are available for the shows now from usual agents, priced at 7.00 per show. Fans can also buy a special Simple Club' carnet which will guarantee them entry to all three nights. Priced at 15.00, this season-ticket takes the form of a laminate which has been specially-designed by SIMPLE KID himself. SIMPLE KID is currently hard at work trying to persuade his robot brain (last seen answering questions from fans in the foyer at The Kid's recent London ICA gig) to DJ at the Simple Club' nights. He is also looking to take the event on the road, with further residencies mooted in both Dublin and Glasgow . Having made significant ripples in his native Ireland in 2003, SIMPLE KID is planning to tour his homeland with The Coral in December. |
