On the release of ‘Magpie’ in November last year, Stephen Fretwell became a name that was on the lips of critics everywhere. Great album reviews (see above), coupled with a string of UK headline dates and support slots to Keane have set up Fretwell for a massive 2005, when he is set to become one of the year’s key breakthrough artists. Stephen Fretwell will prove himself to be an important artist, and one with along career ahead of him.

‘Run’ is to be the first release of the year. An uplifting ballad, tinged with folk and country, but filled with the Northern guile that Fretwell injects into his songs, ‘Run’ has the makings of a track that will tug at the heart strings for many years to come.

Stephen will also be playing more live shows, where his amazing songs take on extra life. With most of his shows selling out (not bad for an artist who has only just released his album), recent gigs have been tinged with a feeling that those in attendance have been witnessing something special. Perhaps you should come and see for yourself…..?

Dates are as follows:

FEB:
13 Stoke Sugarmill
14 Leeds Cockpit
15 Wolverhampton Little Civic
17 Aberdeen The Lemmon Tree
19 Edinburgh The Venue
20 York Fibbers
22 Liverpool Barfly
23 B'ham Glee Club
24 Cardiff Barfly
