Glamstar
Brand New Single - 20th June 2005 & Support On Mtley Cre Tour!

"Stop complaining for a little while...Sick and tired of listening to you whine"

On 20th June 2005 Vertigo Records release 'Glamstar', the third single from The Black Velvets. 'Glamstar' sees the band continue the rich vein of form and attitude that started with 'Get On Your Life' and saw them break into the top 40 with '3345'. The band have also been confirmed as support for the whole of the upcoming Mtley Cre UK tour in June!

In less than a year The Black Velvets have been on a rollercoaster that has seen them support The Who, The Killers, John Squire and Razorlight, headline their own UK tour, steal the show every night on the recent 'New School Of Rock' tour, sign a deal with Vertigo Records, record their debut album in a remote studio in Ireland... along the way they have provoked the interest of NME, Q, Radio 1, Kerrang!, XFM, MTV2, The Fly... and all of this has been done in their own inimitable style with loads of northern swagger.

'Glamstar' is three minutes of pure anthemic, foot stomping, hand clapping, no frills, glam punk rock! It has quickly become a firm live favourite and the accompanying video combines all the energy and attitude of the band and it even combines the band... you have to see it to understand. The single like its predecessors comes backed with exclusive tracks on all formats with one of those formats being a plectrum shaped picture disc! The Black Velvets (& Killing Joke) will be supporting Mtley Cre in June, release their debut album this summer and will also be at all the major festivals starting with the Isle of Wight in June.
