Producing a debut single with a title which would make you think that the replacement for Slipknot has crawled out of the sewer, the Five piece West London outfit are determined to be noticed. The Cornerstones - Smack Me In The Face - (03/11/03 Redemption Records) - Single Review

This A-side is tingling ode to love and how it can leave you feeling and how high it can lift you. Almost sounds like the description for a Celine Dion song, eh? Son of former Spurs legend Steve Perryman is part of the Radiohead influenced set up. An Acoustic number ‘Standing While I’M Tired’ is also featured on this sincere if unimaginative debut, which will see the band achieve the same mid table status of the aforementioned football team.
