made their debut album the feel good collection of 2002. It is colourful, ethereal and contains lyrics that will make you just want to hug the person next to you; “Hold me now don’t start shaking. You keep me safe; you’re the only one when times are tough.” With the music industry being so full of one album wonders it is refreshing to learn that when The Spree dazzled a 10,000 plus crowd at this year’s South By South West festival, 2,000 people were locked out. For those who find this blatant display of life love annoying and a tad cheesy had better go and find a place to hide, as The Spree are gathering more momentum than a runaway freight train. http://www.thepolyphonicspree.com David Adair |
