Pamela Anderson is set to star in a re-imagining of the Nativity story, in which she'll play the Virgin Mary. The former Baywatch star has signed on to appear in 'A Russell Peters Christmas Special' for the Canadian network Ctv, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
Although famed for her Playboy photo shoots, infamous sex tapes and stint as lifeguard C.J Parker on Baywatch, Pam is taking on an altogether different role and will play the mother of Jesus in the one-hour Christmas special set to air on December 1st 2011. The show is also set to star singer Michael Buble, The Love Boat's Ted Lange and Saturday Night Live alumnus Jon Lovitz. As well as the nativity, 'A Russell Peters Christmas Special' will feature a mix of stand-up comedy, sketches, stop-motion animation and musical performances. In recent years, 44-year-old Anderson has appeared extensively on reality television shows - she entered the Australian Big Brother house in 2008, before appearing in the Indian version two years later and in September 2011, Pam took part in the 12th series of the UK version of Celebrity Big Brother. The star was also a contestant on the 10th season of U.S. series Dancing With The Stars, but was eliminated during week seven of the competition.
Pamela's last movie role came in 2010 when she appeared in the comedy 'Hollywood & Wine', with actor JEREMY LONDON.
