Scottish singer Paolo Nutini has joined funnymen Ricky Gervais and Stephen Fry in backing a campaign to stop fishermen wasting their unwanted catch.
British chefs Jamie Oliver and Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall are encouraging famous faces and members of the public to sign a petition in a bid to prevent dead and dying fish being thrown back into the sea.
Gervais has thrown his support behind the campaign, urging fans to sign up as the practice "isn't fair on fishermen or fish-eaters and it certainly isn't fair on fish."
Fry has called 'The Fish Fight' "damned important" and now Nutini has joined in, calling on his devotees to pledge their support.
A post on Nutini's website, reads, "Just a quick one to ask you to join Paolo, Jamie Oliver and the main man behind The Fish Fight Campaign - Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall... Get more info, pledge your support and sign up to this important campaign right here at Fishfight.net."
