Punk icon Patti Smith is adapting her acclaimed memoir Just Kids for the big screen.
The Because The Night singer's tome about her relationship with gay artist Robert Mapplethorpe, who died from Aids in 1989, won the National Book Award last year (10).
And, according to Deadline.com, the rocker is teaming up with Oscar-winning screenwriter John Logan to tackle the critically-acclaimed biography on film.
Logan recently won a Tony Award for Red - about the painter Mark Rothko.
