Snooker heart-throb Paul Hunter, known as the "Beckham of the Baize", has lost his fight against cancer. He was 27. Hunter, born in Leeds, Northern England, was diagnosed with dozens of neuro endocrine tumours on the lining of his stomach in March last year (05). Former world champion JOHN PARROT, now a BBC TV commentator, said Hunter's untimely demise is "a great loss to the sport".
