Comedian Paul Reubens is to apologise to fans in person after he moved his upcoming PEE-WEE HERMAN shows to a larger venue.
The funnyman was due to revive his popular character for a run at the Music Box theatre in Los Angeles in November (09), but high demand for tickets forced him to push back the shows and swap them to the larger Club Nokia @ LA Live.
Many fans with seats for the original performances were left fuming when they had to re-arrange their travel plans.
And Reubens is planning a personal apology when the Pee-Wee Herman Show kicks off on 12 January (10) - he has arranged to meet all the fans who bought tickets to the Music Box so he can say sorry face-to-face.
An email sent out to ticket-holders gives instructions on how to attend the meet-and-greet. The note reads, "To Pee-wee’s Very Best Fans. Thank you for staying with us through the move from the Music Box to Club Nokia! Pee-Wee wants to meet YOU after the show and here’s how you do it: Our guest services staff will give you a wristband and stamp your ticket so that only you and ticket buyers for the Music Box can attend.
"At the end of the show, move to the bar area on the main floor of the Club. The Club staff will guide you from there."
