Paul Williams, the founder of 1960s rock bible Crawdaddy!, has died, aged 64.

The music journalist, who launched the publication as a 17-year-old college student in 1966, passed away on Wednesday (27Mar13), according to Pitchfork.com.

Williams also sang on the Plastic Ono Band's Give Peace a Chance and published books on Bob Dylan.

He also revived interest in the literary work of his friend Philip K. DICk and founded the Philip K. DICk Society.
