The Temptations Review and The New Stylistics will appear in a Soul Spectacular in England.

Music promoter David Gest has organised the event, which will feature 18 groups and artists and take place in Southport, northern England, on November 1.

David - who said the artists included on the bill have collectively sold more than 100 million records - feels he has assembled the "most remarkable" line-up of his career to date for the concert.

He said: "I've worked in the entertainment industry for nearly four decades and this is truly the most remarkable line-up of soul artists ever assembled on one bill.

"There will be eighteen legends performing on stage who have collectively had more than 150 chart hits between them.

"I doubt anyone will ever experience a musical extravaganza like this again. This is when I say 'Holy Focaccia!'"

Among artists to perform at The Southport Theatre and Convention Centre are The Temptations Review, featuring Dennis Edwards - the Original Grammy Award-Winning Lead Singer of the group, Russell Thompkins Jr. and The New Stylistics, Peabo Bryson, Lamont Dozier and many other classic soul performers.

After the concert, David will also hold an event dubbed 'David Gest's Soul Spectacular Star-Studded After Party' which will feature an auction to benefit Liverpool Cathedral Centenary Fund and the Variety Club Children's Charity North West.

Tickets for the Soul spectacular are available through Southport Theatre and Convention Centre Box Office at www.southporttheatre.org.uk
