Pete Doherty is being sued by a security guard who claims the rocker hit him over the head with a microphone during a concert.

The guard, 32-year-old MARK ROBINSON, claims he fell victim to Doherty's violence during a UK gig in Leeds, at which he had been hired to protect the Babyshambles frontman from the crowd.

Instead, Robinson was left with blood pouring from a cut on his face after being whacked by the star's microphone.

Robinson says, "It's crazy when you are attacked by the man you are protecting. He's not all there."

A spokesman for the singer says the incident is being investigated.
