Late British comedian Peter Sellers' ex-wife Britt Ekland has finally given her blessing to a new film about her former husband.

The GET CARTER star has been opposed to the project since it was first announced - but at the upcoming world premiere of THE LIFE AND DEATH OF PETER SELLERS at the CANNES FILM FESTIVAL she has agreed to walk down the red carpet hand-in-hand with her on-screen double Charlize Theron.

Ekland originally branded the casting of OSCAR-winner Theron a "nonsense" and threatened to sue over her portrayal in the movie.

But Ekland has now changed her mind over the casting - Theron has revealed the veteran actress will be her "date" at the premiere.

The former Bond girl had complained that the MONSTER star did not have the right physical presence to play her.
