Pierce Brosnan has said he thinks audiences will enjoy his role in new Abba film musical MAMMA MIA, as it is so different from what he is known for.
The 55-year-old is more readily associated with the suave James Bond - a character he has played four times in the franchise - and said it was a surprise to be offered his new role.
"All of us put our neck out on the line for this," he told BBC Breakfast. "That was what was so much fun about it."
"To see an ex-MI6 thespian singing and dancing in the world of Mamma Mia... people are going to howl," he added.
The new film also shared the location of Pinewood Studios, where Brosnan shot the four Bond films between 1995 and 2002.
MAMMA MIA will receive its premiere in London's Leicester Square tonight (June 30th).
