JAMES BOND star Pierce Brosnan has fought off a 'cybersquatter' to win control of his internet domain name.

In a ruling by United Nations panel WORLD INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY ORGANISATION, arbitrators decided the name www.piercebrosnan.com should be returned to the actor from the ownership of ALBERTA HOT RODS of Canada.

The Die Another Day idol had complained his name was being used illegally and his objection was upheld by the panel, who decided the Alberta company had no rights or interests in the name and was using it in bad faith.

Brosnan's lawyers had also claimed Alberta Hot Rods were linked to JEFF BURGAR - a "notorious cybersquatter" who has been previously ordered to hand over domain names to celebrities including Pamela Anderson, Kevin Spacey and Celine Dion.
