Pink has jokingly begged Bruno Mars to retract his number one single 'Grenade' so she can top the US chart.

The pregnant pop star tweeted that her track 'F**kin' Perfect' - the second new song from her greatest hits album - has jumped into the top ten on the US midweek charts, and sent a message asking Bruno asking him to retract his current number one, so she can reach the top.

She wrote: "F**kin Perfect is #1-digital chart, #2 on the Hot 100(via Billboard). It's also @Pink's 11th top 10 hit (sic).

"damn you Bruno Mars! you're lucky I love that song!!!! :) (sic).

"some1 just said if 'F**kin Perfect' goes to #1,it'll b the only time that's evr happened off a greatest hits. Please, Bruno? take ur song back (sic). "

The popularity of 'F**kin' Perfect' has been boosted by its controversial and shocking video, which is intended as a message against self harm and suicide.

The 31-year-old pop star is currently taking a break from performing live after completing her 'Funhouse Summer Carnival Tour' of Europe in July last year.

She spent almost two years on the road during a mammoth world tour in support of her fifth studio album 'Funhouse', before embarking on further dates in 2010.

Pink announced her pregnancy in November and is set to give birth to her first child with husband Carey Hart in the spring.
