The Just Like a Pill hitmaker endured a troubled youth following her parents' divorce and fell into drugs as she became more involved in the local club scene in Doylestown.
She began taking everything from ecstasy to methamphetamine, and soon came up with the idea of making anaesthetic ketamine at home to sell to her friends - but the great plan didn't quite work out.
In a Vh1 Behind The Music special, which aired in the U.S. on Tuesday (13Nov12), she said, "I started selling as well. I realised I would have a side project if I turned my mum's house into a K-house while she was at work. So I would cook it and sell it and people would be in K-holes (state of dissociation) all over my house."
