Not content with upsetting one British national treasure, the eccentric fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld has taken a pop at another young lass that the British public has taken to their hearts, as well. The dust has barely settled since Lagerfeld took a swipe at Adele, dissing her for being a little more portly than the supermodels that he employs to parade his creations up and down the catwalk. Now, The Sun reports, Pippa Middleton has been on the receiving end of Lagerfeld's shallow critique of the female form.
He's already confessed to be a big fan of Kate Middleton, Pippa's sister - she has a nice silhouette, apparently - but he's not a fan of the slightly less famous one, despite the fact that in many eyes, Pippa almost managed to steal the show at the royal wedding last year. "I like that kind of woman, I like romantic beauties," he said of Kate. "On the other hand," he added, "her sister struggles. I don't like the sister's face. She should only show her back." That kind of comment's got to hurt, surely?
And his mind-blowing vanity didn't end there, either. He even saw fit to rip Heidi Klum to virtual shreds, stating that the German model is "too heavy" and "had a big bust," which rules her out of catwalk shows, in his opinion. It may come of little surprise, then, that he is a big fan of the rake-thin, light-on-personality pop-star-turned-fashion-designer that is Victoria Beckham. He admires her "discipline" apparently.
