Pippa Middleton 's playing on her royal connections to release a British-themed book of party planning. According to the Huffington Post, Pippa described the book as "a comprehensive guide to home entertaining, based on my experience in my family's party business, Party Pieces, and work for London-based events company, Table Talk." Somebody must have whispered the word 'recession' into her ear at this point, because she then added "It is a useful and practical journey into British-themed occasions and I hope it offers welcome inspiration and ideas, most of which needn't leave you alarmingly out of pocket."
Hopefully she's taken into account some Great British stereotypes and has remembered to include instructions on holding an umbrella in one hand whilst you flip a cheap burger on a barbecue in the pouring rain, in the height of 'summer.' And possibly some advice for getting rid of the guy from down the street that heard there were some free cans of lager going spare. Although, judging by the twee 'Nigella - meets - Blue Peter' pictures on the cover, that probably wasn't the primary focus of the book when she was writing it.
The book is scheduled to be published in October, by Michael Joseph. Rumour has it that this won't be Miss Middleton's last contribution to the middle class family book-shelf either, as she's reportedly signed a six-figure deal with them.
