Pippa Middleton could be facing arrest after her friend appeared to point a gun at a photographer.

The sister of Britain's Duchess Catherine was pictured in The Front seat of a car in Paris - where she was for a fancy dress party over the weekend - and the driver seemed to be aiming a weapon at the paparazzi, which is an arrestable offence in France.

A source told The Sun newspaper: ''If the evidence points to her involvement, she will be prosecuted. Anybody involved in the illegal use of a handgun in public is liable to arrest and interrogation.''

According to reports, ''all parties involved'' could face up to seven years in jail for brandishing a real gun in a public pace and even a fake gun carries a maximum of two years in prison.

The source added: ''Certainly if you were in a car and knew somebody was using a gun to warn people off you might be liable to arrest.''
