Johnny Depp has given several hats to Sandra Bullock's toddler son.

The 'Pirates Of The Caribbean' actor has nearly 1,000 hats and after his partner Vanessa Paradis ordered him to get rid of some, he decided to give a few to 20-month-old Louis to wear when he's bigger.

A source told National Enquirer magazine: "Sandra thought it was The Sweetest Thing. She told Louis often cries if she doesn't put a hat on his head and that's why he's rarely seen without one. Johnny promised to send more."

Earlier this year, Vanessa ordered Johnny - who has previously been voted Hat Person of the Year - to get rid of his hats because they were starting to overtake their Paris home.

A source said: "He has hundreds of hats - two rooms in their Paris apartment packed with them.

"Vanessa wants some closet room but Johnny's hats are taking up too much space. She told him point-blank, 'Johnny, you get those hats out of here or when you're gone, I'm going to throw them all in the trash.'

"He was horrified. He loves his hats and he is constantly buying more."

Vanessa's ultimatum came after her partner - with whom she has two children, Lily-Rose, 11, and eight-year-old Jack - came home with a hat he'd bought from a homeless person, but Hollywood star has now agreed to find somewhere else to store his headwear.
