Mormon-owned Tv Station Yanks Hannibal
Although KSL-TV, the Salt Lake City NBC affiliate owned by the Mormon Church, aired the first four episodes of NBC's Hannibal, it has yanked the series from its schedule. After viewing the past few episodes, as well as receiving numerous complaints from viewers, KSL TV will cancel the airing of the NBC show Hannibal on Thursday evenings, the station said in a statement. Previously the station had yanked The Playboy Club and the gay-themed The New Normal. Hannibal will continue to have an outlet in Salt Lake City, however, KUCW, which has aired other episodes of TV shows that KSL-TV has chucked, has agreed to pick up Hannibal, but it said that it will air it on Saturdays following the broadcast of Saturday Night Live (which KSL-TV also doesn't air).
