Amplifier Center Stage Announces David Guetta As 2014 Ambassador

Two-time GRAMMY winner David Guetta has signed on to be the new Ambassador of AMPLIFIER CENTER STAGE: A GRAMMY U INITIATIVE. The program, launched by The Recording Academy® and Hyundai, unites emerging musicians with established artists to mentor their careers.

"I am a great believer in supporting fresh, new talent. Discovering the next generation, I have been helped and guided by some of the most acclaimed artists on the planet while at the same time, I too nurture and support those who are coming through - like Nicky Romero," states David Guetta--the French music producer and DJ who has sold over six million albums and 15 million singles worldwide. "You can't get anywhere without talent, but I've learned that you also need more--people to help you shine. There is no greater institution than the GRAMMYs to honor success. That they've asked me to help them pioneer a program to help undiscovered talent have a chance is very exciting."

In addition to David Guetta's partnership, the three winners for the new edition of Amplifier Center Stage were also announced today: Eyango (Florida), Reckoner (California) and Jessica Faith (Arkansas) (more info below). The above musicians were chosen by the current group of curators which include: GRAMMY-winning jazz pianist Robert Glasper, pop singer Ariana Grande, GRAMMY-nominated country artist Hunter Hayes and GRAMMY-nominated hip-hop artist Kendrick Lamar. This diverse and celebrated group of musicians builds off the highly-successful spring 2013 program debut, which was curated by Mike Shinoda, member of two-time GRAMMY-winning band Linkin Park.

The new Amplifier Center Stage winners Eyango (Florida), Reckoner (California) and Jessica Faith (Arkansas) will receive one of the following program awards: 1) A recording session and professionally produced track with a leading GRAMMY-winning producer. 2) Production of a music video with a noted producer and/or director. 3) An opening performance slot on a major tour and/or music festival. GRAMMY Week will culminate with the 56th Annual GRAMMY Awards® on Sunday, Jan. 26, airing live on the CBS Television Network, at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
