Anna Calvi Announce New Single 'Suddenly' Released 23rd December 2013

Anna Calvi's 'Suddenly', the intense, dramatic opener from her acclaimed second album, One Breath, will be released as a single on 23rd December 2013.
The stunning accompanying video was directed by long-term creative collaborator, Emma Nathan, who said the following:
'I've been fortunate enough to collaborate with Anna visually throughout both of her albums and through this a visual language has developed that accompanies her musical aesthetic. The song connected with me in a filmic way, it spoke of black and white, late 40's, classic, emotional, Billy Wilder and Douglas Sirk. These were the images I got when listening to 'Suddenly', those of deeply withheld emotion and extreme release.'

A more personal record than its Mercury and Brit-nominated predecessor, One Breath retains the fiery elements of her debut but is more instinctive and urgent, revealing a wider spectrum of textures and emotion. The album is available now on CD (WIGCD284), LP (WIGLP284), digitally (WIG284D) and special edition heavyweight gatefold LP (WIGLP284X).
Anna Calvi will be touring the US and Europe until the end of the year, and will return to the UK and Ireland for a nine date tour in February 2014. Her next London show will be at The Troxy on February 8th 2014.
